Do Not Fear!نموونە

Do not fear! Jesus isn’t there!
If my investigation was accurate, the angel was right. “The angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay’” (Matthew 28:5, 6).
In early 2020, I had a chance to check into the angelic report. Some historians believe Jesus was buried at the Garden Tomb, just north of downtown Jerusalem. Others think the resurrection happened at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, nestled inside the Old City of Jerusalem. So I decided to check both for the body of Jesus.
Normally, tourists flock to both of these sites, hoping for a glimpse of the place where our salvation was completed. But I was there just as the coronavirus was changing the world. Therefore, tourism had plummeted, giving me way more than a quick glimpse inside the tomb. I was able to linger, to look around as the angel instructed, and to confirm that Jesus was not there.
Obviously, it takes way more proof to prove something as wonderful as a resurrected Savior and, thankfully, we have it. But my day exploring Jerusalem reminded me that the Easter story is more than a story. It’s history. It’s true.
Which is why you truly do not need to be afraid. Your Savior is risen, just as He said. He is with you today!
