Be Brave Together

There are a lot of world events that have transpired in this season. From a global pandemic to civil unrest, we have faced many adversities. Sometimes, it can be discouraging. However, we don’t have to face it alone. We can depend on our spouse for support. It’s important to share our concerns with those we love because this gives them the ability to think about how they can help us, and how we both can help others.

It’s hard to help someone who doesn’t speak up about what they need. Therefore, we should strive to share our fears and concerns with one another. Two is better than one. God desires for us to be there for one another. The Bible shares the power of community and support, and we have to be vulnerable to experience the benefits. As we open up and seek support, we can band together and face the world.

Point to consider: Do you withhold your fears from your spouse? Are you afraid to ask for support?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for this marriage. Thank You for allowing us to experience life with someone who shares burdens and loves unconditionally. Holy Spirit, help us to reflect Your goodness towards one another. May the peace that Jesus promised abide in our home, in our hearts and in this marriage, forever. Amen.
