Why am I here?
Why was I created? That’s the million-dollar question, and if we’re honest, it’s a question we’ve all asked at some point in our lives.
This question can often be filled with so much uncertainty because it wasn't meant to be asked without Jesus being at the centre. Since God the Father created us, ultimately He knows us best, what will bring us the most joy and how we can make the most impact on this earth. Regardless of what the specific details look like (i.e. what career am I meant to have? What am I called to do at church? Etc...), it starts with following Jesus [Mark 1:17].
As you begin to follow Jesus, listening for His guidance and living by His Word, His plans and purpose for you will slowly become more and more clear.
So how do you discover God’s plan for your life? By spending time with God [Psalm 27:8], by attending and serving at church [Matt 20:26; Eph 1:11], along with doing life with other Christians [Proverbs 18:24]. Watch and see as the Holy Spirit starts to reveal desires you didn’t think you had, joy you never thought you’d experience [Gal 5:22-23] and a life that leaves you speechless [Eph 3:20].
PRAYER
Jesus, thank You that Your dreams and plans for my life exceed my own perception for my life. As I step into Your plan, I ask that You'll push me towards the goal and what You've ultimately created me to do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
