Fear/less (Pt. 3): It’s Time to Get Desperate for Godنموونە

Desperation makes a way where pride can’t tread. 

Sometimes coming into church brings some expectations and fears of other’s opinions; a timidity to our approach of God when we feel like we have to perform a specific kind of way. At times we feel can’t be real about our conditions or struggles. 

A desperate father is crying out for Jesus; a broken woman, bold enough to reach out. May we be a people who aren’t overly concerned about what other people think, but rather, people willing to risk judgement to encounter God. 

Something about desperation enables us to experience God—throwing off pride, hesitation, or fear. Let’s not be followers of Jesus who are too cool or too proud. Let faith and desperation arise.
