Kings Aren’t Built Overnight.

Don’t allow bitterness to harden your heart. Don’t allow bitterness to distract you from fulfilling your purpose. Don’t get bitter during your preparation. Don’t allow bitterness to derail you. 

Don’t allow bitterness to stunt your spiritual development. Don’t allow bitterness to paralyze your emotional development. Bitterness will isolate you and stunt your “gift development.”

If David was more focused on bowing to the opinions of man—then he would not have been ready to function as king or operate on the global platform that God had prepared for him. 

Preparation is a choice. Preparation requires discipline. Kings are cultivated behind the scenes. Kings are developed when no one is watching. God creates kings in obscurity. God prepares kings in the field.

Kings aren’t built overnight. God led David while he was in the field. God showed David what to do next while he was in the field. While you’re in the field, ask God to order your steps. Ask God to lead your next steps.

God sharpened David while he was in the field. David was strengthened by God in the field. David was taught by God while he was in the field. David was led by God in the field. David was counseled by God in the field.

Although David was isolated by his family in the field—God was with him every step of the way. God never left David. God never abandoned him. In fact, David developed a stronger relationship with God while he was in the field. 

Don’t despise the background. Don’t despise the field. The field is preparation for your purpose. The field is preparation for your call. You were born for this moment.
