My Hero: Healing From Wounds of a Fatherنموونە

Day 1 - Introduction
There are very few figures in our lives more important than our fathers. Whether good, bad, or indifferent, they have big impacts on our spiritual, emotional, and even physical states. We get our identity from them, our sense of self-worth, and our confidence.
In this plan, we’re going to look at some of the ways in which we can be wounded by our earthly fathers. We’ll identify several areas so we can recognize which ones are affecting us. Then, we will look at ways in which our Heavenly Father, God, can redeem, heal, and restore those areas where our earthly fathers fell short. Each day of this plan will alternate between identifying issues and how God heals them.
The Bible is full of examples we can learn from. So we’ll go through a few of those. The key for us to get healing will be to shift our mindset onto God as our Father.
God is our Father. He has made a way for us so none of us have to lack for anything we should have gotten from our earthly fathers. Every quality they should have had, He has, and then some.
As you go through this plan, pray and ask God to fill in the gaps for whatever you’re missing. God will most certainly provide.

Dads can be such important figures they seem almost larger than life, like superheroes. God gave us earthly fathers to be extensions of Him to provide protection, guidance, and love. When they don’t fulfill those expectations, it can cause deep wounding. This plan covers ways we can get healing from the wounds of a father.
