Seeds
Try this:
Sit in a quiet space. Imagine yourself in the garden. Ask God to come and sit with you.
You might like to draw while you do this.
Breathe in deeply, and then slowly breathe out.
Ask God what seeds he is giving you and draw or write down what you see, hear, sense, or think.
Ask God how you can nurture the seeds he has trusted you to care for.
Is there creative potential that God has placed in your life that you cannot see? Ask him to show you what you need to see today.
Do you only see the seed when he sees the tree? Pray for trust with what you can see and to step out in faith as he leads.
Be inspired:
Meet Harry Clark, a co-creator from way who believed that to get alongside people you had to do things together. In sport, hiking, camping, cycling, singing, and ‘yarning’, he found a way of sharing Jesus with people.
“Hi, I’m Harry Clark. I was born in 1892 and when I was at Bible College, I rode 77km every Friday after college to Red Hill for church meetings, hospital visits, club footy, Christian Endeavour, worship, Sunday school, and Bible classes. You could say I'm a fit bloke because of my ‘bike ministry’. My wife Dorothy and I met on a mission in China in 1926. She was a missionary nurse and encouraged me to develop my preaching skills in Angkor Wat, USA, and New Zealand. I love community-building, so got into setting up youth church camps, cricket, football, and tennis teams in the 1930s to encourage youth in fellowship. From 1948 to 1953, I was a chaplain in Bonegilla (Vic.), New Guinea and Japan. I delivered my sermons using radio broadcast and set up an interdenominational/international choir, which included some Japanese locals, as we are all one in Christ.”
