The Lasting Words
Mark 13:31
Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away
Ever since Covid19 started, many things around us have been changing rapidly and drastically. Covid19 has changed the way our teachers conduct lessons. It has changed the way we celebrate birthdays. It has also changed our daily habit. We have to always wear our masks wherever we go.
Jesus used the fig tree to emphasize the beauty of God’s promises and the assurance that we can rely on Him and His words, no matter how bad and hopeless the situation around us might be.
Jesus has promised that His words will never ever change. We can count on His promises as He never fails to keep His promises. Jesus' words are sure and can be trusted.
There are many uncertainties in this life. There is a lot of news that might make us feel discouraged, but we are blessed knowing that God’s lasting words remain. We can find peace in knowing that God will always protect us and love us, regardless of what happens in the world.
Prayer
Dear God, I am glad that I am Your child. I can find hope and love in Your words. Other things might fail me, but Your words remain. Amen.
