Creation – An Explanation of Beginnings

What is one of the greatest hopes that you have for people on this planet, and why?

The world around us includes both incredible complexities in the creation and evil and suffering. For many people in history, this world has been their only ‘book’ to understand God. What might people naturally assume God to be like from looking at this world?

Noting this, what different message has the account of God’s Creation in Genesis 1 been carefully written to communicate?

Dear God, thank you for this amazing planet, filled with things that are so complex that we cannot yet even understand them. Thank you that we were so carefully made – rather than carelessly or accidentally.

Thank you for giving us a world that we could enjoy, see beauty in, find wonder in, find food in, enjoy recreation in and learn from. Thank you that you know us and love us – and have made us with purpose
