Call To Action

The time had come for Nehemiah to announce the task for God’s people to accomplish. His burning desire was to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem so his beloved Jewish nation would not suffer reproach and shame any longer. God’s anointing was on Nehemiah and the divine motivation was motivating him. Now it was time for the call to action.

Would the people listen? Would they obey this newly arrived ambassador? We find ourselves listening to the pastor or minister preach God’s Word and the need for action. Is God stirring your heart? Is the Holy Spirit gently moving upon your heart to do something? We may not understand what the journey will involve, but we must take the first step and respond to the invitation.

Prayer: Lord, when you stir my heart and call me to action, please help me to step out in faith and obey. If your messenger calls for response, then I want to do your will and obey. May your name be glorified in my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
