Married Couples: 16-Day Prayer Challengeنموونە

"Love Is Not Rude"
By Zahidee Blanco
“To slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate and always gentle toward everyone.”—Titus 3:2 (NIV)
“A fool always loses his temper, but a wise man holds it back.”—Proverbs 29:11 (NASB)
“One who gives an answer before he hears, it is foolishness and shame to him.”—Proverbs 18:13 (NIV)
Dear heavenly Father, we’re so thankful for the opportunity to come to You in prayer for each other and our relationship. Thank You for helping us to build our marriage. We hope it brings honor and glory to You. Today, we pray that You will always remind us of your unending love, kindness, and grace, that we will be able to honor and respect one another when it comes to communicating our feelings. We pray as Your Word says in James 1:19 that we will be quick to listen and slow to speak and, when it comes to talking, we will only use gentle words to uplift each other and avoid slander. We pray that we will submit to Your Spirit and bring under control any rebellious temper or sentiment that could possibly bring any damage to our relationship. Forgive us when we have fallen short in obedience to You and haven’t treated each other in a way that’s admirable with respect and gentleness. Thank You for bringing us together and for the life we get to enjoy together. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
