Just like the woman at the well, our past hurts can hold us back from experiencing everything that the Lord has designed for our life. They can color our reality and skew the way we see God, ourselves, others, life, and what's possible. It can lead to a belief that nothing will ever change. But that's not God's best for us!

The reality is Jesus has already set you free through His work on the cross. By allowing Jesus to heal the broken places in your heart and coming into agreement with His truth, you can experience His freedom. And the best news of all, it doesn't have to be a long, drawn-out, complicated process! He can heal your heart right now if you'll ask Him.

What lies have you believed about your ability to let go of the things in your past that have haunted you for years? Ask God to show you His truth and then create a Biblically-based affirmation to support that new truth. Every time the enemy comes at you with the lies from the past, simply recognize it, repent, replace it with the truth of God’s Word, reinforce that truth over and over, and rejoice in your new Kingdom reality. Over time, your normal response will begin to align with God’s best for your life.
