When there are people around us, we will try our best to control our words and actions. We try not to makeshameful mistakes lest we need to bear unwanted consequences that follow.

What about when we are alone?

As a child, when you realize that your gaming time is over, but your mom and dad are out for a grocery run, do you turn off your game as you promised?

As an adult, when you are away on a business trip and your colleague invites you to do something that will hurt your spouse. How do you respond?

It is when we are alone that our integrity is put to the test. We will either be proven to be a person of integrity and trustworthy, or proven otherwise. Nothing is hidden from the Lord, even when you are alone. Every sin is clear in His sight. Yes, He will not love us any less, but when we sin, He wants us to come to Him, confess our sins and ask for forgiveness.

No sin too great that is unforgivable by God. Keep coming back to Him. You don’t have to hide anything from Him. He is full of forgiveness and acceptance.

Devotion for Parents
Are there any sins hidden from God and your family? This is the perfect time to confess and to repent.

Devotion for Kids
How do you behave when you are alone? Do you know that nothing escapes God’s sight? If that’s the case, how should we behave when we are alone?

Family Devotion Time
Create an acrostic with the word INTEGRITY.

For example,

I - It is what God wants

N - Not to lie under any circumstance

etc.

When you are done, read the acrostic together and keep it in your heart as a promise to maintain your integrity anytime anywhere.
