Man-Made Cures, God Brings Healing

Healing is a mystery in itself. The one thing that is certain is that the Living God we know, and love is the one who brings it about. He can use any means to bring healing be it through

• Modern medicine which works alongside our body's divinely inbuilt mechanisms
• Our bodies’ natural immune systems and wound healing processes
• Or supernaturally through prayer

Let me reiterate, He is the sole healer! The fact that we are alive and reading this is because of His supremacy as the one who creates and the one who sustains and restores.

I have also personally learnt that we can't dictate to Him how healing should happen or when it should occur. We can believe that without a doubt He will heal in one way or the other.

If anything came to the forefront during the pandemic it was the innumerable remedies and cures that were making the rounds. Humanity overemphasised cures while ignoring lasting healing.

Susan Howitch in her book “Absolute Truths” wrote that

“A cure signified the banishment of physical illness, but a healing could mean not just a physical cure, but a repairing and strengthening of the mind and spirit to improve the quality of life even when no physical cure was possible.”

Jesus Christ, Saviour of the world is not into cures—He’s all about healing. How He will do it and when He will do it, we don’t know, but if He says I will heal your wounds and restore your health, He will do it! In his time and His way.
