Invest in Your Marriageنموونە

Sometimes, the best way to love is to listen. Being a good listener in marriage enables deeper connection and intimacy. In multiple places in Scripture, the Bible talks about "inclining your ear" to listen, which means lean in, press in to hear, and be changed. God says in Isaiah 55:3, “Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live.” The same way that God calls us to lean in to hear what he is telling us is what we are called to do with our spouse.
One of the best ways to love your spouse is to “incline your ear” to them, pressing in to understand what they are sharing and helping them feel heard, known, and loved. Take a moment to pray that God would open your ears and soften your heart to listen closely when your spouse shares with you.
