Year of the Bible: Part Nine of Twelveنموونە

Until We See Him Again
Believing that Jesus will return is a motivator to purify ourselves, to keep ourselves ready, and to burn bright for Him.
Jesus’ ascension was a day Daniel prophesied about—that the Savior would rise up, go to the Father, and be given dominion and an eternal kingdom. We are one with our King, serving in this kingdom with all authority over the power of Satan. We are co-laborers with Jesus as He draws all nations, peoples, and languages to Himself. It is a commission that we are honored to be a part of.
This invitation is frequently given in scripture: “Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool.” We live in the “until” era of history. We live in the season of co-laboring with Christ to bring every nation to Him and defeat all His enemies through the power of the Name and gospel we bear. The victor is certain, but the battle to enforce that victory over every last enemy of Christ is ongoing “until” we finish the war. We are on the side of the victor, the one who rose from the dead and sits at the Father’s right hand.
Question: What enemies of the cross can you battle in prayer and through action?
Prayer: Lord, You are the greatest One, the victor, and the ascended one who is seated in the heavenly places. I’m grateful not only for Your death and resurrection but also for Your ascension into heaven, where You have seated us with Christ. I accept my responsibility to be a carrier of Your power and authority for the advancement of Your Kingdom.
