A New Athlete

ڕۆژی3 لە 3

Welcome to the last day of A New Athlete. The focus for today's plan is Romans 5:4. As athletes we are constantly focusing on building strength and endurance. Having the two helps us get through the many challenges we face as athletes. Without the two we cannot fully develop into the athletes we are trying to become.

Romans 5 describes the benefits of being declared righteous by God because of our faith in Christ. As an athlete in Christ, our sufferings, our trials, and the obstacles we come across are opportunities for us to become closer to God and for our faith to grow. It causes us to trust God on a deeper level. When we begin to trust in God more, we start consistently making the right choices in our lives. No matter what comes along, we know that in the end we will be sharing God’s glory forever.

Reflection

What have been the challenges in your life that have strengthened your character and relationship with God?

Prayer

Lord, as I continue through life I ask that you help develop the strength and endurance I need for the obstacles that lie ahead. I know you will not lead me to a life of disappointment but to a life full of purpose and peace. For I know that the sufferings are temporary. I will stand in your grace, I will sit on your promises, knowing that in the end, I will be sharing the glory of God forever.

A New Athlete

The devotional aims to give all athletes across the world insight on why we should never be afraid or discouraged. God’s promises and plans for our life will never fail. Trusting and putting our confident hope in him will help us develop into the athletes we are called to be as we continue our journey in life.
