#5 Block The Flood

I live in Colorado, and while we have a dry climate most of the year, we have occasional flash floods. Here, smart home and business owners prepare at the beginning of summer by making sure to have sandbags on hand to minimize the damage these floods can cause.

So, what does this have to do with lust?

Our culture is getting more perverse by the year. We could easily say we live in a lust storm culture. Think about what we visually ingest daily. We have television, social media, and the Internet at home, at work, and in our pockets.

My question is, what are you doing to block the lust attack in your world? It’s astonishing how many guys who admit to struggling with lust still don’t have porn blockers or accountability software on their computers, phones, and tablets. This one step is the easiest to take, yet so many men fail to take it. Download a porn blocker if you don’t currently do not have one.

Make yourself accountable to your pastor, wife, father-in-law, or friend. There is software that will send a report that shows everywhere you go on the Internet. By doing this, you act like a smart home and business owner preparing for the battle because you are accountable to someone for your choices. Anything you can do to block lust in your life can help you get and stay lust-free.
