A Promise To Return
Once a nation disappears from existence, it’s almost unheard of for it to come back into being again. Usually the ethnic identity, language, and culture is lost completely. But God makes a remarkable promise to Israel through Ezekiel, the prophet: He says they’re coming home one day. Imagine what hope must have sprung up in their hearts! God hadn’t forgotten them! (And he hasn’t forgotten you!)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, you are indeed sovereign, the ruler over all things. Things that seem impossible to others are nothing to you. Your love for Israel is a huge encouragement to me. I’ve seen how you’ve stood by them through the centuries and are still drawing them to yourself today. Thank you for your love and power and promises you keep. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
