What does it mean to truly conquer something? To be able to look at a situation or problem in your life and know that it no longer has any power over you? It probably feels like a total wave of relief, a release of pressure off your chest that finally allows you to take a deep breath. When we feel like we’ve conquered something that we’ve been struggling with, it can be as though our lives are finally allowed to begin.

For so long, death was something we could never conquer. It has always been looming in front of us, an end to our life. But with Jesus, we know that death is not the end. We belong to Someone who has completely conquered death and removed its power over us. We no longer see death as something to be feared, but instead, as just another part of our story with God. What was once an ending, is now just the beginning of an eternal life spent with Jesus Christ. Take some time today to write this Scripture on a piece of paper or index card. Keep it with you throughout your day, and read it as a reminder that with Jesus, there is no end to our story.
