Stressed Outنموونە

This is a beautifully convicting truth. God has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). It’s also a fairly black-and-white truth: If we are feeling fearful, that’s a little red flag waving over an area of our lives that’s not submitted to God or His truth. God doesn’t want us to live afraid. So since the Holy Spirit moved inside of us when we chose to follow Jesus, He’s not afraid. He knows the resources of Heaven, so He’s never fearful.
So when we’re scared, how do we turn down the spirit of fear and tune into God’s fearless Spirit inside of us? By focusing on who God is and not your circumstances. Yes, it is true that you only see the situation in front of you. It’s present and real. But it’s not the full story. There is no situation bigger than God is, no situation that’s bigger than His ability to handle. Walk tall and strong. Let fear serve as a litmus test. If you’re scared, ask God to step right into that situation where you’re afraid. Invite Him to get involved. And then rest and trust that what you see is not the complete story. The complete story is that He is in control and that He loves you.
