There’s nothing magical about praying for wisdom, favor, and anointing, but there is something special about assuming the posture of humility.

And there’s something remarkable about being disciplined in your desires and faithful in your field.

So don’t be surprised if you ask for all of these things in God’s name and you find yourself in the middle of miracles! Remember what Ephesians 2:10 says. We are His workmanship! It is He alone who has determined who we are, and once we’ve learned of this identity, we realize the true potential that our life possesses.

Therefore, we must remain in conversation with Him.

Ask God to give you an anointing each day to match your assignment. Ask for the wisdom to know your next step, and the favor to help move towards challenges with confidence. Ask Him to anoint you for the conversations, opportunities, and trials that you will navigate.

And perhaps most of all, remember the identity that God has given you, not the label that the world has stuck on you.

From the moment we are born, the words spoken over us begin to mold our identity, for better or worse. Relatives, teachers, and peers all comment on our appearance, our character, and our personality. As we grow, these words begin to build an image of who we are, or more accurately, who we think we are or should be.

The reality is that we need to verify our identity.

Who are we, and who do we want to become. What would we speak like? Talk like? What actions would we take, if we truly realized the identity that GOD instilled within us before our birth?

He has counted the hairs on our heads and the stars in the sky. He is the author of history and the illustrator of landscapes. It is He alone who has determined who we are, and the moment that we learn of this identity, we realize that the truth potential that our life possesses is so much more than the earthly possessions or goals that we want to accomplish.

We are more.

We are qualified from the inside-out.
