“DOING IT GOD'S WAY”

After hearing this her dad asked, "Besides his claws and the color of his clothes what else did you notice about him?" She answered, "There are small letters on his jacket that say A'coon". Her Father replied, "Tell A'coon, that I said to stop and to leave your strawberries alone, because he can't have them". After hearing this Kendrea became even more afraid, she did not want to go back to bed let alone see A'coon again. Seeing that his daughter was scared and worried he told her, "You have a Spirit of power Drea (that was his nickname for her) not fear". Feeling power surge through her heart, soul and mind Kendrea rushed back to her room jumped in her bed and went back into her dream to claim victory over A'coon.

Devotional
As God’s children, sometimes defeating what makes us scared and worried can be alarming especially, if we do it God’s way. God’s way of dealing with things that scare or worry us is different from “our own way” of doing things. When God see’s someone bothering you whether it be family, friends, classmates, or teachers he wants you to handle it HIS way.

For example, Kendrea was afraid of A’coon and did not want to see him again. Kendrea’s way of dealing with the situation was to run to her father for comfort only, she did not want to be told to stand up against her enemy the way he instructed her too. However, Kendrea’s father knew exactly how to defeat A’coon and all he wanted his daughter to do was trust and listen to him because he knew she would come out victorious.

In the same way, God wants all of his sons and daughters to trust and listen to him too. No matter how small or big your problem is, God knows exactly how to solve it. As his children, he wants us to "be strong and courageous and not be afraid of anyone or anything”. He further tells us that "he will personally go ahead of us" this ensures we will not fail and is absolute assurance that we will win. Just like Kendrea rushed back to her room with a renewed heart, soul and mind to claim victory over her challenge, our heavenly Father wants us to do the same too.

Always remember, doing it God’s way works.
