Think back to just a year ago. How much has changed in your life? How much has changed about what you like? Maybe you have a different friend group or your taste in music has changed. A lot can change even in a year, especially coming out of a global pandemic or major world events. Change can happen gradually, but sometimes it can be drastic. Often, change can be hard to accept, and you might then question how anything can be good going forward.

With all of the change we experience, we could all use a little consistency in our lives — something or someone we can always trust. When we have something to look forward to as a constant in our lives, it's incredibly comforting and motivates us to keep going. Jesus promises to be the same yesterday, today, and forever.

He is the solid rock on which we can build our lives. He is the anchor that we tether our hearts to so that we never drift too far from God's truth. Jesus is our guiding light, always shining on our path. He is our North Star, leading us home for an eternity in God's presence.

There is great comfort in knowing our unchanging, relentlessly pursuant savior. Jesus' love for us is constant and unwavering. Even when we change, his love for us does not. So, hold fast to Jesus. The road ahead will be full of ups and downs, but we can trust Jesus to never change.
