God is Not Mad at You

Have you ever looked at your life and wondered, What did I do to deserve this? Maybe you’re remembering some of the worst decisions and thinking, Yeah, I guess I’m getting what I deserved. Well, thankfully, Jesus gives us a much better deal than Karma. When you bring the wrongs of your past to Jesus and ask His forgiveness, your sins are removed—washed away by the Blood of Jesus—once and for all.

And it says in Psalm 103,

...your sins are taken away...as far as the east is from the west.

If you’ve ever felt like God hates you for the sins of your past, I can confidently tell you…no…His thoughts toward you are not anger, but love. Sinclair Ferguson put it this way, It’s misleading to say that God accepts us just the way we are. Rather, He accepts us despite the way we are. If you’ve ever felt like God hates you—no! His thoughts are love.

But Jesus said this: In this world, there will be trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

Troubles come from living in this broken and hurting world and being part of it, but God is not punishing you. Don’t be afraid! Run to Him today and ask for the help you need.
