7 Prayers to Start the New Yearنموونە

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

God, thank you for being the creator of all things. You created the mountains, oceans, birds, trees, animals, and flowers. Everything under the sun is yours, including us. We thank you for being a God who creates in us a pure heart again. We confess anything that we have done that does not reflect you. We pray to live in a way where the old us is gone, and the new us walks in your light. You are a God who restores, redeems, and makes all things new. We pray to start this new year off being an example of a new creation. We pray for strength to fight against the temptations we face and to be reminded that with you, we are made new every day. We love you, amen.

If you can, take some time outside today to admire all that God has created. Even in the winter God's beauty can still be seen. Pray he reveals himself to you as you take a few moments to spend with him.
