Have you ever helped set up for an event? When there is work to get done, doing it by yourself can take a long time. But when others show up? It gets a lot easier. Trying to do life by ourselves can be discouraging when we go through difficult circumstances. It is easy to feel alone, even when you have people around you. Sometimes, we feel this way because we don’t let others help. In this verse, Paul is encouraging the church to care for each other when someone falls down. To really be cared for takes letting someone else in. Not only can we do that for others, but we can let others do this for us. When we do, we’re learning to live like Jesus.
Today, find a song that encourages you and share it with a friend. Talk about why it brings you comfort and ask them to do the same.
