Day 3 - PURSUING WISDOM

The Proverbs 31 woman described in the Bible epitomizes virtues of strength, wisdom, and industriousness. Her character embodies the ideal woman who honors God and her family, managing her household and her work with grace and integrity. Together, these themes underscore the importance of virtuous living in whatever calling is placed upon your life.

As we see in Proverbs 31, a wife of noble character is:

Virtuous: She is characterized by her virtue and integrity.

Trustworthy: Her husband trusts her completely.

Hardworking: She is diligent and industrious, managing her household efficiently.

Generous: She is compassionate and extends her help to the poor and needy.

Wise: She possesses wisdom and speaks with kindness.

Strong: She carries herself with dignity and strength.

Reverent: She fears the Lord and lives in accordance with God's principles.

Both Helen and Rebecca live out these principles and values in UNSUNG HERO. At the heart of the film are two women who learn to use their voice for God and impact not only their family but their community and culture. At a pivotal moment in UNSUNG HERO, Helen must approach her husband with the difficult news: they are almost out of money and almost out of food. The family is at a point of desperation, and the children look to Helen to be the grounding force of faith—and fun.

Similarly, Rebecca is on her own journey in UNSUNG HERO as she explores what it means to pursue a music career. Over time, she gains the wisdom to see that she isn’t called to sing other people’s songs, but she is called to sing and use her voice for good.
