Does fear paralyze you?

Fear is an emotional response to something we perceive as a threat; it generates anxiety and the desire to avoid or escape from the threatening situation.

Fear is a normal part of our human experience; so normal that the expression "Fear not" is repeated more than 136 times throughout the entire Bible.

Unfortunately, fear is one of the main reasons why believers do not share our faith with the lost. We fear being rejected, being offended, being persecuted and not being fully prepared.

If you're like me, you probably have some stories where some of these fears paralyzed you and prevented you from sharing your faith. Am I wrong?

If this has happened to you, I would like you to begin seeing fear in a different and positive light. Fear reminds us that we are weak, and that we need God's strength to fulfill the mission of sharing the Gospel.

In my song "Pido por el" ​​I wrote a prayer that I repeat every time I preach the Gospel: "Take away fear from me, give me strength and courage to give my friend the message of salvation."

This can also be your prayer. Be strong and brave! Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
