Elevate: Raising the Bar for Conversations About Political Tensions

ڕۆژی7 لە 7

It’s easy to read today’s verses and focus only on loving our neighbor. After all, Paul says that’s the summary of the entire law! But we often miss the last part of the command: as yourself. Love is not an affectionate feeling; it’s something we choose to give. But you can’t give something that you don’t have. So, what is your current view of yourself? Are you your own worst critic? When was the last time you gave yourself grace and showed yourself kindness? That’s what we’re to do with other people, but it has to start with us.

Today, focus on the way God sees you: forgiven, loveable, worthy, and wonderful. No matter what anyone else says about you, God’s view of you is what’s true of you.
