Savior of the World

Have you realized what Jesus has accomplished? Every person in this passage is trying to understand what they witnessed. How did a crucified man defeat death, and how was He talking to them now?

The answer is clear. Jesus is the Messiah, the Savior of the world. He has incredible infinite power, and He was victorious over everything that tried to conquer Him. He was the perfect sacrifice for our sins, was raised from the dead, and ascended to Heaven to reign as King forever.   

He fulfilled every prophecy and promise in Scripture, and has given us a message and a mission. There is good news to be proclaimed to everyone in the world. Jesus is alive, and He offers forgiveness and grace to all! What an incredible gift of God! And if you’ve placed your faith in Jesus, the same power that raised Him from the dead dwells in you, too (Romans 8:11)!

1 John 4:13-16 tells it this way: This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.  If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 

Jesus has sent His Spirit to us to bring hope, life, and power. He’s transforming us and making us more like Jesus every day. Go tell the world of His life and of His love!
