His Mission

“It is finished.” Those were Jesus’ last words before he died. But what was finished? His mission to save us. That mission started before the world began and continued throughout the Old Testament. Jesus’ mission led him from heaven down to a manger in Bethlehem. And it ended when he died to take the punishment for the whole world’s sins—and to open the doors of eternal life to everyone who believes in him.
