Today, let's focus on aligning our finances with God's priorities.

Jesus teaches in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

The truth is when we prioritize God's kingdom, our perspective on money shifts dramatically.

This doesn't mean we just ignore our finances. Instead, it's about viewing them through the lens of God's purposes.

Proverbs 3:9-10 advises, "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine."

Paul expands on this in 2 Corinthians 9:6-8: "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

Today, as you meditate on these verses, consider how you can align your finances more closely with God's priorities.

Next, reflect on any financial decisions you're currently facing. How might seeking God's kingdom first influence these choices?

Let's pray:

Heavenly Father, I come to You, acknowledging that all I have comes from Your hand. I thank You for Your faithful provision and care. Help me to break free from the chains of money stress and to find my security in You alone. Teach me to be content in all circumstances and to hold my resources with open hands. Give me wisdom to manage my finances in a way that honors You and furthers Your kingdom. When worries arise, remind me of Your promises and Your faithfulness. May I learn to trust You more fully each day, finding true freedom in Your love and care.
