Day 1: Seeking God's Financial Wisdom

How often do we approach financial decisions from a worldly perspective before seeking God's wisdom? Today's verses remind us that God is not only willing but eager to grant us wisdom when we ask. Financial wisdom isn't just about budgeting and investing—it's about understanding God's principles for stewardship and abundance.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, I am so glad I get to come to You any time I want and speak with You. You are so good and wonderful, wise and understanding. You know all, and yet, still, give me the time of day. It's almost too good to be true, but yet I know it's true because You told me so in Your Word.

You also said that I can come to you whenever I want and ask for wisdom. Thank You for that promise because it's what I need right now. I need wisdom in the area of finances.

Lord, help me to see money through Your eyes. Show me how to be a faithful steward of all You've entrusted to me. Give me discernment to distinguish between needs and wants and courage to make decisions that honor You.

Lord, if there is something I need to know, I'm asking You to show me. If there are scriptures I have been neglecting to follow, illuminate them to me. If there's a resource that will lead me in the right direction, guide me to it.

Grant me wisdom to:

• Handle my resources with integrity
• Give generously as You have given to me
• Save prudently for the future
• Avoid the trap of materialism
• Trust in Your provision completely

And I make a decision right here and now to listen to what You have to say, to follow on the path You're leading me on, and to read Your Word with an open mind and heart to receive instruction and even correction where I need it.

I commit to being a good steward of whatever You provide, whether little or much. Help me remember that all I have comes from You and belongs to You.

I ask you to give me wisdom in this area, not just for my benefit, but so I can better serve Your kingdom and be a blessing to others.
