Every day, we face temptation—the pull to go against God’s way and choose our own desires instead. That’s why Jesus teaches us to pray, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."

It’s important to understand that God does not tempt us (James 1:13). However, He does allow us to go through trials that test and strengthen our faith.

Temptation comes in many forms:
✔ A desire to compromise integrity
✔ The urge to lash out in anger
✔ The pull toward sinful habits

Jesus' prayer teaches us two things:

1. We need God’s strength to resist temptation.
2. We need His deliverance from the evil one.

We are in a spiritual battle, but we are not fighting alone. God promises to provide a way out when we are tempted (1 Corinthians 10:13).
