Becoming More Effective in Prayerنموونە

WHAT COMPLAINING IN PRAYER WILL DO TO YOU (1)
For the past three days, we have been considering the subject of complaining in the place of prayer. In the presence of God, some behaviours position you as a complainer. Today, we will start by assessing the consequences of complaining in the place of prayer.
Most people don't know that they are actually complaining when they pray, but knowing that will help you avoid this problem. This is more so because prayer brings power into your life but complaining brings problems into your life by opening you up for the devil’s assault.
1. Complaining makes you displeasing to God: Since it is not of faith because the Bible says in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” When you don’t walk in the reality of the Truth that God exists and He is a rewarder of people who diligently seek Him, you will begin to complain. Most people are ignorantly and sincerely complaining but they think that they are really praying.
2. Complaining destroys faith: Job complained and he was overwhelmed (Job 3:1-21). The children of Israel complained, displeased God and it destroyed their faith in Numbers chapter 14 verses 1-4. Complaining destroys your ability to believe in God further. It incapacitates your ability to believe in God. It doesn't display faith or your knowledge that God is good. On the other hand, prayer is reminding God of His promises, listening to the Holy Spirit and thanking God for the answer to prayer. Prayer is expecting the result and speaking the answer.
PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from every corrosion of my faith as a result of complaining during prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen!

The Bible says, 'O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.' We know God is committed to answering the prayers of His children, yet some pray without receiving answers. Prayer is meant to be a two-way communication between you and God, and He is always eager to respond. In this 28-day devotional, I will be sharing insights on how to pray effectively and receive answers from heaven.
