God Is Writing Your Storyنموونە

Blood Bought Victory
We fight our battles in prayer and surrender to the Lord. The enemy wants us to think that surrender is a form of weakness because he is scared of the power found in surrendering to the God of Angel Armies. When we surrender our battles to God, the enemy knows he is done for us. He knows it will end in defeat. So we fight our battles knowing we have victory through the blood of Jesus. Surrender to the Lord is not weakness, but rather where our strength lies.
Our hands in the air praising the Lord is an active sword against the devil. Our knees on the ground in surrender to the Lord is a cut to the devil’s throat. Reading and believing the Word of God is replacing the devil’s threats, schemes, and lies with truth. The enemy has no hold or authority over our lives because we are children of God, protected by the One who has already defeated Satan. There is power in understanding you are a child of God. The enemy only has the permission you allow him to have. So, it is worth the fight to declare the name of Jesus over your situation. At first, it may not feel bold when your situation looks the same or might even be getting worse. The battle sometimes is reminding yourself you are a child of God, regardless of how your life may look at the moment. God’s love for you never changes, even when things go from bad to worse. He still rescues you through the promise of His presence.
An example is the story of Joshua, who was a faithful servant of the Lord. He was leading the group of Israelites into the Promised Land when they came upon an obstacle: the wall of Jericho. He saw this impossible situation of how to defeat Jericho, and his first reaction was to take this problem to the Lord. God instructed Joshua to keep walking around the wall of Jericho for seven days and, with shouts of praise to the Lord on the seventh day, the wall would crumble. So Joshua did just that, even though it did not make sense. Even though he didn’t understand, he chose to believe in the promise God gave to him and the power of the God he served.
Joshua kept walking lap after lap, regardless of the wall not coming down. He believed in God's promise and did not stop until he saw a breakthrough. In God’s timing, the wall crumbled right before their very eyes on the seventh day.
There was power in praising God in the face of a large obstacle. Praising God with an honest offering of surrender and a belief that He would fulfill His promise had the power to tear down the walls. Likewise, our praise has power in our battles. Sometimes the deeper our pain feels, or the harder the battles become, the louder and bolder our praise should rise.
One of the most meaningful parts of Joshua’s story is that the wall didn’t come down immediately. Joshua had to keep walking in obedience and faith to see the miracle. We need to keep walking through the valley with confidence that our Savior is with us, guiding us, and that He is faithful to the end. Our King wields so much power; everything lines up in obedience to His command. He has authority over the darkness attempting to destroy your life. He can crush the barriers in your way. He loves His children so much and follows through on fulfilling His plan for your life. We just have to keep walking faithfully, knowing that God is for us.
