Healing From God

ڕۆژی5 لە 5

When Jesus came to the town of Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Him and begged Jesus to heal him. Jesus didn’t heal the man right there in front of everyone. Instead, He gently took the man by the hand and led him outside the village. Then Jesus did something unusual—He spit on the man’s eyes, laid His hands on him, and asked, “Can you see anything?”

The man looked around and said, “I see people, but they look like trees walking around.” His vision was blurry. So Jesus placed His hands on the man’s eyes again; this time, the man could see everything clearly.

This is the only miracle recorded in the Bible where healing didn’t happen all at once. It happened in steps. Not because Jesus lacked power but to show us that healing—whether it’s physical, emotional, or spiritual—sometimes takes time. God often works in stages, growing our faith in the process.

Also, notice that Jesus led the man away from the crowd. This shows that real healing often happens in quiet, personal moments—not in noisy or busy places. Sometimes, we need to step away from distractions so we can really connect with God.

Jesus didn’t leave the man halfway healed. He finished what He started. That’s how God is with us—He’s not done until we’re fully restored. Whether you’re healing from pain, fear, or something deeper, you can trust that God will keep working in you.

And after healing the man, Jesus told him not to go back into the village. That’s important. Sometimes, in order to stay healed, we need to stay away from the places or people that once hurt us.

Respond to God’s Word:

Have you ever felt disappointed because you didn’t get your full breakthrough yet? Have you forgotten that God often works in stages?

Next Step:

Today, thank God for the progress you’ve made—even if you’re still waiting for complete healing. Pray, “Lord, touch me again.” Trust that He will finish the good work He began in you. Also, take a moment to look at your environment—are there voices or places you need to step away from so God can continue to bring healing in your life?

Although you’ve finished this Bible Plan, I want to encourage you to continue to stay in the word of God. There's something that has helped grow our time in the word of God as a family. Each week, we receive a one-page guide with a Bible verse, worship song, seven daily conversation questions, and a short prayer for family time. In just 25 minutes a day, it helps us be intentional with our family in prayer.
