Faith in Action: How Faith Transforms the Way You Live

ڕۆژی2 لە 3

Faith functions as more than just a concept—it creates atmospheres that transform both our internal landscape and the world around us. I want to share what I call the three pillars of faith. Today, we'll explore the first two pillars: living with faith and living by faith.

Living with faith means faith becomes the atmosphere within you. It's the internal work that strengthens you from the inside out. In 2 Thessalonians 1:11, it says, "So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.”

This dimension of faith, accompanied with power in Christ, isn't just an external practice; it's an internal reality that fuels your endurance when life doesn't go as planned. Living with faith is what keeps you moving forward when everything around you says, "Give up. I'm done. I'm tired."

Jesus emphasized this internal dimension in John 15:4: "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me." Living with faith means staying connected to the Source, allowing His life to flow through you regardless of external circumstances.

This isn't about performing religious duties; it's about nurturing an internal atmosphere of trust in the Lord. When you live with faith, God's truth transforms your heart, filling you with strength and endurance that your circumstances can't explain.

The second pillar, living by faith, refers to the atmosphere around you. Faith becomes your standard—the foundation that governs your decisions, thoughts, and actions. In Hebrews 12:1-2, it says, "Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith."

Living by faith means you don't let culture, emotions, circumstances, or others' opinions dictate your steps, but instead, you choose God's way even when it's inconvenient or countercultural. You trust His Word more than your own understanding.

When you live by faith, you create an atmosphere around you that reflects trust in God and the truth of His Word. When bills arrive, concerning reports come, and relationships become challenging, the atmosphere around you doesn't shift to fear because faith has established the environment.

This is why speaking Scripture aloud and filling your space with worship matters. In my home, we play the Bible and worship music throughout the day and night because it creates an atmosphere where faith, not fear, rules. While you can't control every element of the world around you, you can control the atmosphere of your car, your home, your room—inviting God's presence to shape these spaces.

The question isn't whether you have faith; it's what you're putting your faith in. When you live by faith, you establish a foundation that keeps you steady regardless of what comes your way as your faith grows daily.

Pause and Ponder: Which atmosphere needs more attention in your life right now—the internal atmosphere of faith within you or the external atmosphere of faith around you? What practical step could you take today to strengthen that dimension?
