Set Me Free: Devotions From Time of Grace Ministryنموونە

INTRODUCTION
"Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty; we are free at last!"
Thanks to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., those words from an African American spiritual will never be forgotten. They bring a triumphant conclusion to one of the greatest orations of all time, King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech, given in Washington, D.C. in 1963.
Black Americans waited a long, long time for civil rights, and when those freedoms came, they were sweet indeed--the freedom to live where you wanted, work and study where you wanted, and vote without harassment.
Because the terrible curse of sin hangs over our world, everybody is a prisoner in one way or another, possibly in many ways. We all yearn for freedom and deliverance. In the daily devotions in this reading plan, I'd like to tell some stories of people's struggles and suffering and God's various ways of bringing relief. Jesus tells us, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:31,32).
