Proverbs Chapter 1

Welcome to Daily Proverbs with Daniah, a 31-day series through the Book of Proverbs! The book of Proverbs is a collection of these wise words from King Solomon to his children. These inspired couplets are considered part of the "Wisdom Literature" of the Bible - meaning that through studying it, wisdom can be gleaned in a deeper way. Our hope is that by beginning to dive into the Book of Proverbs once a day, you can pick up a few nuggets of wisdom to add to your life and experience spiritual growth through practical knowledge of God's Word.

In today's proverb, Daniah unpacks the difference between Biblical truths and common phrases that you might THINK are in the Bible but aren't. Phrases such as "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." or "Don't judge a book by it's cover!" cannot be found in the Bible. But there are lots of other instructional proverbs that can help cultivate fruitfulness in your life to pay attention to and learn how to discern God’s truth in all things.
