Good Steward
Scripture says that good people have the foresight not to squander their resources. Instead, they use discernment to manage what they have. They think about their own future, and they have the wisdom to think about the next generation. They have a plan for their children and their grandchildren. This way of living honors the Lord. He wants us to manage our money with wisdom and humility while recognizing that it’s a tool to be used for his purposes.
Wealth is not a sign of godliness, and it should not be used to measure our worth. Many faithful believers have lived very modest lives. It’s easy to equate God’s blessings with material gain, but this way of thinking is destructive. We miss the point if we measure our success by the amount of money we have in the bank. We set ourselves and others up for failure when we prioritize money above everything else.
We cannot take our material possessions into the next life. Everything we have now is a gift from God and is meant to be used for his glory. He is the source of our provision, and he is the one who sustains us. Remembering that allows us to live with generosity, kindness, and peace. Our money will not last, but the way we use it can have an eternal impact if we are surrendered to the Lord.
Submit your resources to him and allow him to have full control. Soften your heart before him and trust his guidance. If he asks you to let go of something, trust that it is worth it. If he asks you to change your perspective, do the work and be transformed by truth. If you allow him to help, he will give you his opinion on your financial situation. He will give you wisdom, discernment, and confidence as you navigate the path you are on.
Are there possessions or treasures that you are holding onto rather than offering them to God?
