Father’s Love: 30 Days of Discovering God as Fatherنموونە

Day 25 – A Friend
This one may be hard to believe but the Almighty, powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, Creator of the Universe, God is not only your Father, but He yearns to be called your friend. In John 15:15 (NIV), Jesus said, “I no longer call you servants… Instead, I have called you friends.”
When you go to pray, talk to God as you would a friend. There are different types of prayers like spiritual warfare, but most prayers are conversations with your Father and friend. Many times, I start my prayers with Father, how are you? There are times when I’ve started my prayers with, “Daddy I’m very exhausted today but I miss you and I love you and want to spend time with you for few minutes so thank you for being here with me.”
This transforms your attitude, motives, approach to God, worship, expectations, and even how you view Him when His answers don’t come as quickly as you’d like. Prayer isn’t about big words and long hours, certain styles, or all the religious jargon out there, simply talk to your Father and friend and have faith that He hears you.
Read, internalize, and pray each scripture to deepen your faith.
