What will you do with all you have learned about Jesus?

“These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.” (John 20:31 ESV)

John wrote an entire book about the Lord Jesus. At the end of it, he adds a note: “Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.” (John 21:25 ESV)
However, John's book does contain much information about Jesus! In addition, we have the accounts of his fellow Bible writers Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

Over the past month, we have reflected on seven important events in Jesus' life, seven parables He told, seven miracles He performed, and seven statements in which He made clear who He is. As a result, you have gotten to know Jesus quite well. What do you do with all that information?

The goal of the Bible writers was not to provide background information about a historically important person. Nor did they want to provide an inspiring role model for future generations. Their goal was to help us find eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ—just as they themselves had done. In Jesus, they found ultimate joy, and they wanted to share that with others.
