Lord I Need You

“Lord I’m staying

Four years ago, our grandpa passed away after battling cancer. He was a pastor who had dedicated his life to spreading the news about Jesus, praying for his country, Sweden, and loving his family and friends. He planted the church that we’ve been part of our whole lives, and a Christian school that we’ve gone to as kids. He was a true man of God.

What do you do when you pray for a miracle and it does not happen? When there are people all over the world praying for your healing, and it does not come? Going through that season was one of the hardest things we had to do as a family. What we’ve learned is this: God can handle our questions. We won't have all the answers until we are in heaven.

Somehow, God works all things for His good. It may not seem like it—it certainly didn't for us. But we know He does, and that's our comfort. Even when we are walking through the darkest valleys, we can grasp on to Him - our only hope. In John chapter 16, Jesus is talking to His disciples and says, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” If that's not comforting, the actual words from Jesus Himself, we don't know what else is. So whatever you are going through. Heartbreak, loss, grief, troubles in life, go to Jesus. Ask him all your questions, say what's on your heart, but please, go to him.
