Romans: A 30 Day Visitنموونە

Paul makes the claim that sin infects every human being. Sin and death reigned like a king on the earth. One man sinned and brought that potential into the world, and every human has followed suit. Except Jesus. The one sinless God-man.
Where do you see evidence that sin infects everyone?
Think about the phrase "death reigned"- what are some examples around you that bear witness to the reign of death?
In contrast to this reign of death, Jesus bursts on the scene, dies to pay for sin, and rises to defeat death. Outrageous seems like the only word I can use for this kind of love.
Spend a few minutes thinking about your own life and situations. Where do you see the contrast in areas where death used to reign, but because of the grace you received, life now reigns?
Perhaps write out some of these and take time to thank God for His outrageous love and gift.

Paul's letter to the church in Rome is packed! He is helping this new church establish a vision for what it looks like to be citizens of God's Kingdom. There is doctrine to learn and live by, as well as wisdom for living life in ways that accurately reflect the King. As we take the trip together over the next month, we too see that what we believe, always influences how we live.
