Ehud - God Can Use the Unlikely

“The Israelites cried to the Lord, and he gave them a deliverer—Ehud, a left-handed man…” - Judges 3:15

Ehud was a left-handed man in a right-handed world. In ancient times, being left-handed was often seen as a weakness or disability. Yet, God used this “limitation” to execute a strategic deliverance plan for Israel. Ehud assassinated the oppressive King Eglon and led Israel into peace for 80 years.

This story is both graphic and powerful. It teaches us that God can use what others see as a disadvantage for His glory. Your background, disability, or perceived inadequacy might be the very reason God can use you uniquely. He often works through the unexpected to humble the proud and exalt the faithful.

We must stop disqualifying themselves based on human standards. Like Ehud, what disqualifies you in man’s eyes might be your weapon in God’s hands. God is not looking for the obvious choice but for the obedient heart.

Ehud reminds us that we don’t have to be conventional to be called. Courage mixed with creativity and divine timing can produce breakthrough. God’s strategy may not always make sense, but His results are always purposeful.

Prayer and Confession
My uniqueness is not a flaw—it’s a tool in God’s hand. I am equipped for impact, even in unconventional ways.

Blessed? You're not ordinary.
