Chapter 4 – Opposition to the Work
Ezra 4:4-5–“Then the peoples around them set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to go on building. They bribed officials to work against them and frustrate their plans during the entire reign of Cyrus king of Persia and down to the reign of Darius king of Persia.”
Historical Context: Enemies try to halt the rebuilding of Jerusalem, creating fear and discouragement among God’s people.
Faith Reflection: Faith perseveres through opposition. God’s plan cannot be stopped when His people obey Him faithfully.
Application:
- Identify areas of your life where discouragement or opposition is present.
- Stand firm in obedience and prayer, trusting God to overcome all barriers.
Declaration:
I declare that I stand firm in God’s plan. No opposition, fear, or discouragement can stop the work He has begun in me. I trust in Him to overcome every opposition in my life.
