Day 7: Promise: God loves you with an everlasting love.

Dear Single Mother,

God loves you. 

But I know that in your loneliness, you may question God’s love for you. 

I know what it feels like to long for love—the kind of longing that sits heavy and painful within our chest, pulling us through our beds and into the depths of the earth. Eight years of longing. All I’ve ever wanted in life is to be loved kind of longing. 

Loneliness and longing are among the enemy’s favorite weapons of choice against the single mother. When we are most vulnerable, the enemy seeks to arouse our hunger and entice us to a counterfeit banquet that serves nothing but crumbs. 

As I write this final letter, my eyes well with tears as I consider the great love of God and my desire for you to know the width, length, height, and depth of His affection for you. But perhaps it would be better if I left you with His Words, not mine….
