True North: Breaking Out Of The Prison Of Pornنموونە

The Damage
What you feed grows and what you starve dies. Yesterday we discussed lusting with our hearts, so what happens when we allow that lust to grow in our hearts and lead to a full-fledged addiction?
Looking at pornography is selfish. When you make the decision to look, you're choosing immediate gratification for yourself rather than choosing to please God or your spouse. When you develop a habit of making decisions for yourself, you're disengaging from the genuinely fulfilling larger story God designed you for and engaging in the hollow world where Satan wants your heart focused. Run from it. Don't destroy your body with the fantasy of a woman on a screen. So many men walk around feeling morally compromised in this area which in turn, affects how they show up in every other area of their lives. The cost is not worth it!

Pornography is a pervasive and effective tool used by our enemy to isolate men and take them out. Satan would have you believe that you are alone in your engagement/addiction of pornography. He wants you to believe that if anyone ever found out you would be an outcast and even more alone and hurting. Let me assure you, his accusations are lies. Jesus wants us to bring our failure into the light. It is in the light that darkness flees. You are not alone in this struggle. LIVE Free!
